Mathaburu (Matha Hill) There is a kali Temple and a well on the top.
Matha Buru (Matha hills) is commonly known for its esthetic beauty. Annual 'Mela' is originated on the hill by tribal community. Many nature camp and Rock Climbing courses are conducted by different organization mostly during winter season.

How to reach Matha:
Nearest rail head is Barbhum, 41km from main town Purulia & 288 km from Kolkata.

Day 01

Guest pick up will start between 7:30 AM – 8.00 AM in our vehicle from Barabhum station.
You will reach camp side between 9.00 AM – 9:30 AM.
Breakfast will be served on reaching the camp side.
Introduction and flag hosting will be done at 10 AM.
After tent allocation guest can do sightseeing in an around the camp area. Guest will also get time to know each other.
Lunch will be served between 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM.
After lunch we will have an introductory rock climbing session between 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM.
We will continue towards the Mathaburu and guests can have a trek to the top of the Mathaburu hill. From here guests can enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Guests will be served with snacks upon reaching the camp area.
Campfire will be organized from 7:30 PM onwards. Guests can share their experience and stories with fellow travellers.
Dinner will be served between 9 PM – 10 PM.
Guest will spend their first night in the camp and experience the wilderness of the camp life.

Day 02

The wake-up call will be given at 5:30 AM.
We will have a photo-walk in the nearby village between 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM.
Breakfast will be served between 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM.
We will start for a trip (in our vehicle) towards Charida village at 9:30 AM. Charida village is famous for its 300 skilled mask makers of the celebrated dance form of the region, Chau. It is an acrobatic martial art based dance form inscribed in UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.Guests can enjoy the art of mask making and the visit the local Rural Craft Hub.
We will continue our journey towards Lahariya Dam (lower dam) and then Khudna/Dodi Khal (upper dam). Guests can enjoy the beautiful since beauty of the region.
We will reach the camp and lunch will be served around 2:30 PM.
After lunch guests can rest at their tents.
We will go for a Jungle walk between 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM. Guests can enjoy river crossing activity using rope.
Guests will be served with snacks upon reaching the camp area.
Campfire will be organized from 7:30 PM onwards. Guests can share their experience and stories with fellow travellers.
Dinner will be served between 9 PM – 10 PM.

Day 03

The wake-up call will be given at 5:30 AM.
We will have a photo-walk in surrounding areas between 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM.
Breakfast will be served between 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM.
We will start for a trip (in our vehicle) towards Bamni Falls, located on the way to Baghmundi from Ayodhya and approximately 52 Km. from Purulia town via Sirkabad. Breath-taking scenery and a picturesque drive make this place a must visit.
We will continue our journey and explore Ayadhya Hill top (Jogini Cave & Budbudi).
Lunch will be served around 2:30 PM on reaching the camp side.
Guest pick up will start between 5:30 PM – 6.00 PM in our vehicle, wherein guests will be dropped off to Barabhum station.

Required Documents
It is mandatory to carry original & Photocopy of an identity proof and two copies of recent passport size photograph.
You are advised to carry your personal medical kit.

A backpack of min. 40-50ltr. of storage.
Windproof Jackets (if you are traveling in winter).
Pullovers / Sweatshirts (if you are traveling in winter).
Warmers / Thermals (if you are traveling in winter).

What is the style of accommodation provided?

Tent accommodation will be provided.

What will be the transport provided?

Transport will vary depending on the team size. If the group has less than 4 people, then Sedan will be provided. Otherwise Innova, Tata Sumo or similar.

Who will be with us for the trek from Ghumakkad?

Ghumakkad’s representative will be there with you during the trip. If it’s a group of 15 or more people, then there will be a senior trip lead to accompany you.
